The Boom! Academy
The Boom Academy is our weekly elite training platform. The platform combines year-round indoor turf field training, local scrimmages and playdates, and travel tournament team development to participate in NFL Flag and USA Football regional and national tournaments. The Academy combines best-in-class flag football coaching with elite speed, strength and agility training and runs 9 months out of the year. We have structured the Academy to accomodate commitments to other sports and activities--Next Level, high school flag, and other year round commitments.

On a tournament by tournament basis, some future roster players will be asked to participate with the Elite travel rostered teams. Elite rostered players will compete in the highest profile regional and national tournaments.

Tell me more about tournaments and competitions? For local competition, we will be scheduling 4-6 playdates. Playdates provide a structured environment where every member of the Academy plays, and plays multiple positions to develop. Playdates are for development primarily, though on occasion we will schedule scrimmages to test the level where players are at. For regional and national competitions, we will select 2-4 travel tournaments to attend depending on the competition level of the Academy teams and the ages, e.g. we are much more likely to attend a tournament requiring a flight with Olders, than Youngers.
-
Which tournaments will we attend? Our ambition is to compete for national titles from the various sanctioned tournaments offered through USAFLAG and USA Football. We will carefully select 2-4 tournaments per year that create positive growth experiences for our teams. Unless qualified for nationals, we anticipate focusing on local and regional tournaments initially.
